Braids have been around for countless years, and they’re easier to put in your hair than you might imagine. Even the so-called 5 strand braid isn’t hard once you get the hang of it. It’s perfect for formal settings, but it works just as well if you plan on spending a casual weekend on the town.
How to Make a Five Strand Braid
Cross over the third strand with the second one, do the same with the fourth over the second and then the first over the fourth.
The fifth strand then goes over the first, so your third strand should end up where the first was originally. Cross this over the fifth again. You’ll want to then repeat the pattern.
If you have especially thick hair, then you’ll want to try a crimped five strand braid to make things a bit more manageable. Once completed, these should look like a delicious piece of challah bread fresh out of the oven.
